Re: Weatherill
The little matchbox was the 2H and there were two main versions cast IIRR The first 2H had either a trip bucket or a single crowd ram on one side. The 2H was based on the Fordson major skid and retained the Fordson bonnet.
The larger King size model was a 12H which was introduced in the late 50s by Weatherill also on the Fordson skid and with later ones having a torque convertor option.
Oddly Lesney continued to make the 2H model years after Weatherill stopped producing it. I think production ceased with the demise of the Fordson Super Major by which time both the skid and the loader were outdated to say the least.
If any of this is wrong I hope John Tutt will look in and put it right!
edit: Some thing else John told me was that Match Box were next door to Weatherill at their first works in Tottenham.

Re: Weatherill
Tidy example of a 42HD with long arms. Optimistic price?

Re: Weatherill
Another 42HD with long arms and looking remarkably straight. Do a small farmer for loading corn.

Hi All
My name is John Scott and my Dad - also called John Scott - worked for Weatherill initially as Spares and Service Rep from 1955 and later as Depot Manager for the Bothwell depot until its closure in the 80s. I came across some photos recently which are professionally taken for Weatherill by Harold King (Photography) Ltd of Morden in Surrey.
If this pic has worked I will add more.
Cheers
John
