Taken late last year at the Cemex quarry in North Wales. Very impressive to watch this machine handling the rock.

Paul

Is that Raynes Quarry near Colwyn Bay or Halkyn?

Both Raynes & Halkyn had 988G's. To be more precise, only one number apart on the s/n's. Raynes have now got the pair, loading 3x 771D's.

Sorry I missed your question Richard, the 988G in question is at the Cemex Pant y Pwll Dwr quarry in Halkyn.

wxmman, have they shifted the 988 from Halkyn to Raynes? Halkyn were very quiet when I was up there, the (then) new 990 was only working 3 day a week.

Still only working 3 days a week, Halkyn's 988 went to Raynes as the converter was slipping on theirs. Both on site today - 18-01. Will take some pics tomorrow when i'm back there.

I was there Wyn. The bloke from Cats marketing team was playing hell because he had told the quarry we were coming and was expecting the 990 to be working full tilt!!
Have they still got the 345 working there? Great looking machine it is too!
