Good pics.

It looks like one of the models brought out in the death-throws of A-B loader production. :(

Thanks for the pictures. I remember well the 350 model we had in the mid-70's. It was fitted with a Leyland 760 motor.

When I worked for Tarmac we had an AB TS200 yard shovel which was used for anything from loading precoated chips to lifting machinery parts. It was a 1970 model with a Ford six cylinder engine instead of the more usual Leyland and drive was through a Clark powershift transmission.Good points were it was quite powerful and easy to operate and service ,Bad points were that even in its day it was very basic from an operators point of view with no suspension seat,no sound insulation in the cab and a heater that would have been more at home in a car, all you got was bare metal and a few instrument gauges, the noise from the engine was very noticable and a larger silencer had been fitted to this machine because of complaints from local residents when it worked in a sandpit. Its biggest failing was the steering because of the steering pump being driven off the transmission you only had power assistance when you were moving, not useful in a tight area, also being a rigid shovel the steering trunions and balls on the Kirksteel rear axle were prone to wear showing as an inward lean on the rear wheels
