Acouple of more pics.
Exhaust manifold is back on and have gone over the "grill" with an steel brush.
Hopefully will get some Hi Lite green on it this weekend.
And next weekend I will start her up again.
Would like to get another exhaust manifold but they seem's to be pretty hard to find!
Found one in Texas, brand new, but they asked 1875 US dollars for it!!!!!!!!!!! :arrrrgh:
That with shipping and with our terrible sales tax here in Sweden would have come to about as much as I payed
for the loader.
But I will keep on searching! :)

nice one Peter  .It's allways good to hear an engine run after standing for so long. You think they'll never run again.......but they do..
I have owned some Detroits before and found them to be pretty good.Keep a clean air filter in it and use straight 40 oil and regular oil changes.
I ran TS14B detroits but drove other peoples TS24's with V12's in the front and straight 6's in the back and also with twin V8's.Alot of Aveling Bardford graders used V6 Detroits over here too.
None about these days as they are too noisy but I loved them!

Hi Nicky,
Thank's! :)
That's true, it ran when I bought it but before I got it home they was about to move it and it suddenly stopped.
Guy's where I bought it thought it just had ran out of fuel.
It was aliitle worse that that, blower drive shaft had broken. But that's fixed! It sure runs quite nice.
Thank's for the advice! :)
I have had an "thing" for Detroit's since I was 10 or 12 years old, had my first drive in an 72-51 when I was 13.
That sound just gives me goose bumps! :D And the more cylinders they have the better they sound!!
Hopefully I will my hands on an 82-20 dozer also.
But first we have to get thru this darn winter!

Happy New Year!

/Peter
