Someone might recognise the front axle but it may be a derivative of the Ford 5000 tractor axle? The rear steering axle will be something else. ps did not read the OP properly either and the bit with the hand book labelled SL 704.
edit The JCB variant is listed as being fitted with a British Twin Disc t/con and p/shift transmission. I would guess that might have been the transmission in the Chaseside built machine as well. If yours is Ford powered then it would have been built before JCB take over as they fitted a Perkins 4.236.
