colchester funny bit

bought a Colchester triumph round top lathe on the opposite side of apron to the thread gauge is push or pull knob and leaver something to do with threading or what any ideas till I get a book, got to take it to bits to get it out of factory :dizzy: bye bye

I have just been informed by one of my engineers at work that the knob you are asking about does control the traverse for thread cutting; the one knob on the left is direction for both axis and the one on the right engages either the saddle traverse on the 'X or Z' axis. Hope this helps.

HI found a bit on u tube about the ainjest quick thread , showing it working type in USING THE AINJEST QUICK THREADING .) THANKS :thumbup:
