Trapped Miners in Wales

I wish all the people involved in the rescue attempts for the 4 trapped Miners in wales every success and wishing for a good and safe resolve, with all miners returning safely to there family's.

Hoping for a satisfactory outcome. The emergency services were there pretty quick. They have got mines rescue on site and are working frantic to get them out.Seems that they hit a water course and old workings that flooded the mine.

Had a bad feeling about this from the start,one found dead this morning. These men work very hard to make a decent living,40 miles away there is an estate full of scroungers.Its not bloody fair !!!

I hear you on that, unfortinutally what I would like to do with scroungers is not legal ,so I will spare you the details.
I would like to think that the remaining men will be found safe and well, Tough to watch the news on this.

Hi everyone,

Just a quick but unfortunate update on the rescue effort. 3 of the miners have been found dead, so far they have not been formally identified and they're bodies have not been recovered. However there is still hope for the last trapped miner as officials say the water is receding and oxygen levels are good.
Officals said that the retaining wall which was holding back the water collapsed without warning on Thursday morning. If you would like an up to date account of what is happening with the rescue just type BBC Wales News into google and the story will be on the front page.

Hello,
Sadly we see again the "unacceptable price of coal".
My great neice has recently married into the family of one of those killed. Our hearts go out to the famillies in their loss.
The biggest loss with the demise of the coal industry is the loss of the unique commeradary between those who worked and faced the dangers together every day. They knew that they depended on eachothers skill, judjment, expierience and care to survive those dangers and return home safe.
My wife has two great uncles still entombed in the workings of The Universal Colliery, Senghenydd after the explosion which killed 439 men and boys in 1913.
