UK Coal Lodge House

Hello all,

I visited the Lodge House site in Derbyshire this week and it looks as though they are extracting the last of the coal and are filling in the last cut with overburden from a temporary storage pile. Also looks like the big kit won't be too far away from packing up. Only a few weeks of site life left now I'm guessing. Here are some photo's I've managed to take from the trip (excuse the quality of them as they were at a distance and visibility wasn't great)

I thought the 120c with the high cab was a 120e - is it the latest version of the C before they went to E?

Is it loading 785's?

2x120c and white 120e Dave. Loading 777F's - can see them from my office window at work!

That particular RH120-C you have pointed out came from the Orgreave site in Yorkshire. Had another visit down there on Monday and there was only that RH120-C operating. The other was parked and the E was no where to be seen. Won't be long at all until they are finished. I have some more pictures that I will post up some point this week.

I also have some pictures from UK Coal's Minorca site that I will post up in a different subject.

Hi Luke,

Thats interesting - I wonder if the riaised cab was so it could load the 789's previously?

Dave.

Dave

Well that's what I was thinking. In fact, there are some photos that someone posted up on here a while back of that same RH loading the 789's at Orgreave.

Nice pics.

The one twenny with the high cab module and fully enclosed engine compartments is a PMS machine, last run before the 'E's.

Did anyone get the plant #'s?
