I went to Newark Tractor show yesterday and purchased a copy of David Wootton's new book 'Opencast Images' I can highly recommend it - It contains images of British Opencast Coal sites from 1986-1994 with images of the largest plant of the time - O & K RH300, Demag H241 and loads of rope shovels.

The book arrived today and it's fantastic. Dave has managed to capture many machines which are now "Classic" and with some stunning photography. Credit where credit is due... Dave you have earned it! Can't wait for the 2nd part. I've been on sites with this guy before and his enthusiasm for the subject never ceased to amaze me.
