The B100 became known and branded as the "100 loader " in 1970. The older B100's had twin oil bath air intakes and slight variations to the later BD264 engine. The 100 loader had a dry intake filter element. You don't see many with a winch fitted

When I worked in Devon we worked on quite a few Drotts, I been to see a few with the "Exeter Tractors " sale plate still on them all these years later  . The bucket repairs were carried out at Lapford by Dave Colgrave whilst we did the overhauling at Rewe and latterly Beare, Broadclyst. They were mad days

A blast from the past, over thirty years ago :dizzy: the workshop at Rewe and the plate that was fixed to refurbished machines.

The company was started by Ed Drott ,at Tomahawk Wisconsin. The Drott family started off in lumber, Ed Drott developed the 4 in 1 bucket that is used on many machines today. I am in contact with the Drott family in the USA.
There are more photos on CMN, search Drott family.
Photo shows John Drott senior taken 1958

Very interesting Martyn thanks for posting that info mate, that has definitely enlightened me on where the name comes from, and how a very popular machine started.
