thanks for the post. Looks a good machine. Looking forward to the day I've got the FL4 back into action.

The M F 300's were a good machine, we never had any problems with them, the Perkins engines were very reliable. All the ones I worked on were fitted with backhoes, you could drop them of easy if not required. You don't see many of the larger M F crawlers in preservation. There's an idea

I have a soft spot for the 300s. My uncle had a new one in the 70s & I used to be near that thing as much as I could. I still can hear the sound of the engine in my head. The 4 lever bucket/ripper system looks primitive now.
Never saw one with a hoe on it...all had rippers & 4in1 over here.
There are still a few about, but parts are tough to get.I think the 400 were reasonably popular too,& the 500s might have been a real dog.The 200 & 2244 sold well here.

Hi Jim, B100,
Good video of the MF 300 working. I am on the look out for a manual as have some issues with steering on my MF 300 resto project.
Anyone got a spare copy or a scan of maintenance and or operators manual. Swaps you for a parts manual.
See also post from yesterday on steering issues if you have any ideas.
