Hi all, I had the privilege and achieved an ambition/bucket list milestone of witnessing an International TD24 in full roar!!

All I know about this machine is that it cleared around 1,000 acres of heavy floater rock in Central Victoria Australia and was purchased by the present owner for around $3,500 about 10 years ago.
It smoked like a dragon when on petrol start but when it changed over to Diesel it wasn't too bad. Denis has 1 straight through pipe and 1 muffler for exhausts which gives it a slightly unpleasant crackle in the exhaust note when on petrol. When it was on diesel it was more throaty. You will note that the bucket rams are off, being repaired I think.

I'd love one too Martyn, but like you I'd have to find room to keep it first.
I've never seen a TD 24 with running gear and track frames like that before.
I know it's a loader, and as such will have ridgid frames, but the frames on this Drott are more like a TD18.
TD 24 frames are normaly quite different like the ones below which I photographed at Andrew Beulahs last year.
I didn't even know they had made a TD24 Drott.

Like Fred I have never heard of a TD 24 Drott.
To me it looks like a BTD 20 with one of the petrol start engines fitted (from a TD 18)?
It would be interesting to see any more photos if they are available.

There is a TD24 shovel snoozing in a yard near Bidford upon Avon, plus a 250 shovel tucked in an open sided barn near Bromsgrove, so the beast's are about.

Hi Peter,
I didn't like to say it wasn't a TD 24 but you have echoed my thoughts.
The pic. reminded me of a of a Drott I did a gearbox on years ago, (I think was a B20K3 ??), based on a BTD20.

Hi Martyn, Thanks for that picture, with the exception of the track frames and the number of bottem rollers
the two machines look remarkedly similar. It would be interesting to see any more photos of both machines
for comparison.
