Track-Marshall loader on eBay; think its an 1100?

Post #1 by Gavin Phillips » Sat Nov 24, 2012 6:26 pm

Oddly enough I was looking for Caterpillar forklift brochures and this turned up. :dizzy: Well I don't know where the logic of that is but its an interesting item anyway!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TM-Track-Marshall-Drott-/200850101578?pt=UK_Collectables_Agricultural_RL&hash=item2ec399554a

Looks like there's something going on in front of the top track return roller, not even T-M's largest crawler loader (the 9500) had two top rollers.

I'm tempted to say its an 1100 really but I could be way off the mark here. I do hope it finds a good home. Classic piece of British-built earthmoving machine right there.

Best regards

Gavin

Nice one. I was never that good at identifying vehicles, maybe I'm finally learning a (little) bit!

Hi,
It's one of very few Bristol Taurus machines badged Track Marshall from the time of the take-over in 1970.
The pic. of the TM1100 below taken at the Britania Works Gainsborough circa 1971/2 shows the changes Marshalls made for the 1100.
I used to run a 1976 model with a MF 220 backhoe fitted.

Wow, a rare beast then. Just shows what can turn up on eBay even if you aren't looking for it.

Thanks everyone for their information.

Hi Ken

To have five 9500's must have been quite a feat! Do you have any comments about the vehicles that you could share? Out of all of the TM machines, they are one that I've heard the least about really.

Best regards

You are quite right the pic. isn't an 1100. Could easily be a prototype.
Heres the pic. I meant to post.

Fantastic picture of a nice little loader!

PS: Speaking of the 1100 model, I found this nice little youtube video of one being demonstrated I guess. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcGgZ7O6Df0
