Currently on Aussie eBay...just type in "Drott Backhoe".
A handy plumber's tool for sure.
I also saw a cheap Komatsu D31S-17 or 18 on UK eBay recently...looked OK for 5900 Pds.

I think thats the same machine a member on the Aquaponics forum I visit just sold. It has a side dump bucket like that one and a hoe to. I have a question is the ITMA brand the same as a Macmoter from Italy.

Taylor,
I think Macmoter were absorbed by Fiat or some one else.
I think they had 2 or 3 crawler loaders, but all were larger than 2 ton.
I had just discovered them after they had been bought out..& managed to get a couple of brochure scans.
This unit appeared on Aussie eBay & quickly disappeared.

Hi IBH,
I tried contacting Macmoter in 2009,& got no responses at all.
Later I obtained a New Holland DC80 brochure & thought their machines looked almost identical to the Macmoter.Maybe just a sales agreement for non-European countries.
I'm always amazed at the number of machinery producers in Europe.I think companies like Fiat swallowed them up as they became a threat.
Benatis were sold here about 20 years ago,by a single dealer in Queensland. There aren't many surviving machines,I'm afraid.
I spoke to the dealer in 1991,& could have bought a 60 series Crawler loader for 80+ grand,I think.I'm not sure about sales of Wheel Loaders & excavators here.

Re: Handy 2 tonner
Its kind of a shame that we cant get their loaders here. I think they make some sharp loaders . I ran my first New Holland D100 dozer at a friends dealer ship. Its a little awkward at first the travel control that pilot operated like a modern skidsteer You have no set speed for travel just ease the stick forward for more speed. The counter steer for the tracks is on the drive lever. My problem with it is pushing if you hit a little harder material at your arm wants to jerk forward and back when it hts harder ground. Kinda like a big wash boarding effect. Other than that I liked running it. I think one of the smaller Macmoters also was W80 Waldon sweepers sold for a while.
