Hi Martyn,
Thanks for the pics.
I wonder what the difference is,between the 244 & 2244?
Was the 244 a Gas powered unit or was it just an early version of a 2244??

I think this was discussed in the past, but not sure if we came to a conclusion ....

hi Jim, when i did reshearch for modelling the 244, i found that the 244 was first introduced in 1963 after Massey Ferguson bought Landini of Italy in 1960, and what i could make out was that Massey Fergusons American arm ICM brought out the 2244 in 1965, it differed a lot, as you can see from the previous pictures, .. both used the Perkins A3-152 three cylinder engine and same transmission, and both weighed in at just over the 5100kg mark .. i belive it was just the design that differed ..but i could be wrong

I've only had it about 9 months, haven't put a great deal of hours on it, just sorting out a couple of oil leaks on it.
Good little machine for its size, quite capable.

I loved those MF 200's.For a small machine they were very usefull. The plant firm I worked for has nearly all MF machines.I think the 200 was better than the newer 200d.
Great photos on this thread, brings back memories.

we always preferred the 200. the 200d didnt have enough power to cope with the powershuttle transmission.
