I saw a 983 on a lowloader on the M4 eastbound. I can't remember how long ago though but I reckon it would have been summer 2008. When I got back to the quarry, Finnings were there working on the 988 shovel, I asked the fitter if he gets to see many 983s & he reckoned the majority of them would be down in Cornwall. I don't know why but I presume they'd be in the china clay workings there.
