A few sprinkles of rubbish, the CAT loading shovel started off as a Trackson Conversion on D4's etc, the the HT4's evolved from this, the 951 89A was the first 951 loader built in the U.K. with a 4"1/2 bore 330B engine, the cab fitted was most usualy the "Leverton Cab" a sloping thing with a bit of F/Glass to keep off rain, the next model change was the 951 63K series shovel with the new 330C 4"3/4 Bore engine, 14 bolt brake drums revised bonnet and exhaust etc and the Leverton Cab still doing the Fowl House bit, the next offering was the 951B series fitted with mainly the Power Shift transmission, a few early ones had manual G/box's, this was the first 951 to have the Power shift box, it had the 330C 4"3/4 bore engine with a water cooled transmission, the 951C has the 3304 4"3/4 bore engine with a revised F/Drive pinion and Bull gear tooth count, also a change in the pinion and bevel gear tooth count, the loader frame was made to a sealed bush item with a revision on the return to dig control, a bonnet change, air cooled transmission, front rad plates had less holes to the top and bottom margines, loads of plating to the main chassis frame, track pitch change from 6.75 to 6.91 I could go on for hours? the Westload Cab was built by Levertons in the Westload street Works, the first cabs fitted to 951b's were the Otterson (Klippan) Cabs ugly brutes?

Never heard of a 941C before. As far as I am aware, the 941B was replaced by the 943 rear-engined machine? Unless it was a prototype which never made it to mass production or a short-lived production model? Very strange...

I remember hearing about a 973 being at the Brewery demolition site in Newcastle but never saw it during my many wanderings around the exterior of the site. But it is great to hear there are a couple of them kicking around the North East somewhere. Well you never know, I may get to see one, one day...maybe!
Look out that window, Eden isn't burning. Its burnt.
