Scrap handling CAT 963

Post #1 by argie » Sun Apr 12, 2009 6:51 pm

Photographed at West Canada Dock in Liverpool on Wednesday, a "flying" CAT 963 loader.
The machine is used to trim the loads of scrap in the holds.

Outstanding photos Adrie, That does not look a nice or safe place to be working but very interesting, looks like there is hardly any visibility out of the cab windows and with all that dust about

I like to see modified/custom machines working in unusual places, the 963 looks well beefed up to cope with the job conditions 8-)

Keep the pics comin

Regards

Just an observation, the machine in the ship hold is not the one on the crane.

Yes the machine in the ship is actually a 973 - the largest Cat track loader available :ugeek:

It's indeed a 973.

There are two of them on the yard of EMR Rotterdam.

This Photo is unfortunately a bit vague, but this is the other.
