Barry Cossletts Bedford and Cat 10.The bedford had had some overheating problems of late.A new rad is to be fitted.

Im Guessing its the green one belonging to bradley quarries. if so then that picture was taken on sat 22nd october 2011. I was passing a local bar and resturant and they were parked up in the carpark. I have a few other pics i took on the same day i'l post them up aswell
I'v also put up a picture of an F7 i saw forsale on the internet a while back. i dont no anything about this lorry but as its in such gud nick i thought it was worth posting up.

Hello Mate been a while since you enquired about this lorry off me and i told you if i found anything i would let you know. i was at a truck show today and the ulster vintage commercial club had a meet up at it and i got a close up picture of said lorry i think

older trucks in my mind those trucks still look new I am starting show my age now anything from the mid 80's onwards is still new until I actually stop and count the years and then I say bugger me Im getting old

Why are there so many old british trucks in Malta and Jamaica in Canada there are no british trucks in Canada except for real old from the 1930s

I am pretty sure Canada had its own Mack Kenworth Chev Ford and no doubt other manufacturers and the UK trucks just couldnt match these for the jobs required and the UK manufacturers wouldnt change to suit

Because Malta and Jamaica were main British markets and the hot dry climate meant that the trucks did not rot away as fast as they would have in the traditional British wet climate, also certainly in the case of Malta the island is very tiny so in real terms they didn't get to work as hard as they would have in other larger countries.

Malta/ Cyprus/Jamaica historically have used British trucks , very few if any are bought new, they are exported from UK when they are around 10 year old , so gradually Malta etc is switching over to DAF / Scania / Volvo etc as they are retired in UK and are exported.
