I think it is a Douglas timber tractor.FL Douglas Equipment from Cheltenham I think converted a lot of ex-forces AEC Matadors into timber tractors after the war.I believe they make aircraft tugs nowadays. Tim

I see your the main man then! spot on that man well done Tim you are correct.
The funny thing is when I first set eyes on it I thought it was a Matador, that was until I saw the radiator grill badge.

Hello
I lived near Stroud, Gloucestershire in the 1950's. There were several saw mills in the area and the Douglas timber tractors were not an uncommon site, probably helped because they were made not far away at Cheltenham.
Another Douglas product was the dump truck in the photo below, I think these were marketed by Thomas Ward.
