Looking out window now as the lifeblood of the planet threatens to wash us away, I'm glad we went yesterday.

This ERF was coupled to the same trailer that the Transcontinental had last year. If this is the same guy, I wonder what else there is in the collection.

Can the Magnum really be obsolete?

A Dennis, and another ERF.

Never got a go on one of these, but they always looked the part.

And a generation later...

Lots of superb paint jobs, I'll post more of those when I get my mitts on wifey's camera.

A T45 that hasn't disolved.

A smart looking Dodge.

Love the Christmas list LOL the old slay might end up a bit lop sided dragging that thru the sky

Shame those T45 Leylands never seemed to have taken off and about them rusting away, they looked modern enough to my eyes

If he's got any sense he'll deliver it with the Scammell, and gift wrap the lot! It's a Cheiftain ARRV, about 56ish tons I think.

Out of curiosity, did any of the Renault AE/Magnums ever get to Australia? I'm fairly sure some had Mack mills in them, and I'm sure I've seen - or at least seen a pic - of one badged as a Mack.

They were called Mack Magnums I think and had the E9 V8 Mack in a lot of them as well as the normal mix of motors

Veering off topic somewhat but having seen what you can get up to down there, how do they square up to the sort of work on offer?

I think they sold quite well to start with but then the length laws changed and market they were suited to (b double) and conventional trucks took over

Thanks Rob, the 1st ERF looks amazingly modern today (at least to me anyway).
