I don't know what you mean by " style awards "
But any how Japanese trucks spread widely around the world and one strong reason for European trucks producers shrinkage in seventies and eighties of last centuries ..

Steve means that they are not exactly aesthetically pleasing to the eye (pretty) however you can bet that they are hardy trucks and very reliable which you would expect from Japan.

Yes you are right it is not ..
but speed , practical and more economic .. but I am not with you with ( Hardy ) European truck and off course american better in this point ..
there is a photo of Hino truck red one in the first page it is taken in Iraq .. When I ask drivers there they told me never like Mercedes - Benz , Man or Volvo and Scania ?!!
