I was at another backhoe loader manufacturer’s event last year, when there was much talk of making an attempt on the John O’Groats to Lands End record, sadly on that occasion it never came to fruition, but it got me thinking about this event that took place in 1989.

The latest generation of Caterpillars 700 series articulated trucks the B Series, was given an official European launch last week in Peterlee, County Durham, a large gathering of top journalists from the UK and Europe were present, and the Digger Blog was also invited along to take a look at this exciting new product.
