These photos taken by Digger blog reader Jill White show what's left of the former Tyrell & Green building in Above Bar Street, Southampton.

The once iconic store which was relocated to the West Quay shopping complex as John Lewis in September 2000 is now being demolished to make way for the development of the new cultural quarter in the heart of the city, an area that Southampton City Council hope will be alive with arts, heritage, entertainment, events, music and architecture.
