Nicks Blog | Working with frozen ground Swedish style!

Post #1 by RSS Bot » Sun Oct 04, 2009 8:24 pm

As the long winter evenings are just around the corner now, I thought we would look at how are Scandinavian friends tackle jobs in the harsh winters in Sweden.

Robert Carlsson is a groundworks and plant hire contractor from Eskilstuna, a town of about 95,000 inhabitants, which is situated close to Lake Mälaren about 100 kilometres west of Stockholm in Sweden.

Like myself, Robert, is a keen machinery forum member and can be found offering great advice on both the Swedish site Maskinisten and the English language sister site CMN.

Robert has sent us some great photo's from a job he was working on in March this year.

Frozen ground has its advantages when transporting heavy loads. You don´t have to worry about sinking into soft ground.
