Just launched onto the market and making its debut at Intermat, Paris in April, the first L50F to land in Great Britain has been purchased by Suffolk based Hitchcock Farms.

Joining an existing L60E purchased in 2004 for handling ash and fertilizer, the new arrival has been put to work loading and blending raw materials to produce a whole range of animal feeds in a dedicated work zone at Hitchcock's Chapel Farm.

According to proprietor Guy Hitchcock the new loading shovel from Volvo "ticked all the boxes" required for the animal feed blending operation citing the machine's compactness, smoothness of operation, load over height and capacity.
