Nicks Blog | Interesting plant at work in Greece

Post #1 by RSS Bot » Mon Feb 16, 2009 9:57 am

Regular Digger blog reader Xristos Mpiskinogloy from Greece has been in contact with me and very kindly sent in a large collection of photographs showcasing the machines that they use on a daily basis, and as you will see there are some very interesting older machines that are still earning their keep.

Xristos's company is called Georgopoylos George and they are based in the Greek city of Kalamata which is the second largest city of the Peloponnese in Southern Greece and lies 238km south west of Athens. Most of their work is in the city and it's surrounding villages which are famous for its olive trees.

One item of plant that interested me was the Poclain PB90 as seen in the photo above loading one of the companys three Mercedes Benz trucks, this 1985 model is still in good condition considering it's age and Xristos has been so pleased with this machine that he is looking to buy another one of similar age from here in the UK. Anyone got one for sale ?

As usual click on the photos for a larger image.
