CAT DW21 electra box transmission

New to this site, I posted my first question on the forum DW21 scraper.
I summary, A 70 yo friend told me he had worked in Belgium (years 62/66) for a firm from glasgow (Wykes?)

They had Cat DW21 manual gearbox controlled by a electrabox.?
No clutch pedal and gearshift by turning a knob on the box electrabox!

Never heard of it for a Caterpillar.

As someone he heard or saw DW21 similar?
