JCB 520 4 PROBLEMS

HI EVRYONE
IVE GOT A PROBLEM WITH AN OLD JCB 520 4
IT WONT GO FORWARDS OR BACKWARDS(WELL IT GOES BACKWARDS AFTER A WHILE)
IVE TOPPED UP THE SHUTTLE BOX A FEW TIMES AND THIS SEEMED TO CURE IT,BUT TODAY ITS SEEMS TO HAVE GIVEN UP COMPLETLY.
CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

PS just a thought I lay money theres a filter somewhere in that system, have you checked it recently? Blocked maybe??

DRIANED OIL AND CLEANED STRIANER
PUT IN FRESH OIL BUT COULD ONLY PUT IN ABOUT 4 LTRS(IT SAYS IT SHOULD HOLD 11 ?)
STILL NO JOY WITH MOVING UNDER ITS OWN STEAM .
IM DOING A ROOF AT THE MOMENT WITH IT AND AM HAVING TO SHOVE IT ABOUT WITH MY OLD FORD 550, ITS A NIGHTMARE!!!!

to change the pump you have to take the shuttle out and it's drives off the middle of the torqure converter it's more than likely burnt the forward clutch pack out, but make sure the dump spool is adjusted other wise it won't drive, does the transmission oil pressure light come on and go out when started up?
