Stuck screw bolts

Sounds like you had quite the fight to get those bolts out.

If it were me I would have had a good long look at the threads on the bolts and tapped into the kingpost for damage or threadlock (heat generally turns post threadlocks back to a liquid state) to make sure they were as clean as possible and then run the bolts in and out with some form of anti seize on the threads and no housing in place to eliminate any possible influence that might have on the bolts turning freely.

That's a good idea... I skipped that step and put it back in place, cleaned those bolts anyway but did not had a look on the King post house threads..
