Hi,
I have just bought a 1974 Benford TT50P non-runner as a "project".
Previous owner said he opened one of the hydraulic ram nuts to allow him to lift the skip with his digger arm to empty water out the skip.
Having now got my engine working I notice the skip no longer lifts so assume I need to bleed the system.
Can someone give me pointers as I've not worked on hydraulics before.
Regards,
Julian

Re: Bleeding hydraulic pump and rams
You should not need to bleed the system to the rams make sure there is plenty of oil in the tank , run the engine and it should push the oil round the system ,if it don't work the M.R.V. could be stuck open and dumping oil back to tank .

Hi Phil,
Thanks for the reply.
I just checked the level and there's not much oil in there really and I'm also on a slight incline facing down.
So will top her up and see how I get on.
Regards,
Julian
