JCB 3CX No forward or reverse! *FIXED*

Hello, I have posted this in the loaders/backhoes section, but this maybe a better place.

I have a 1987 3CX.

Recently when forward or reverse was selected, it would hesitate for a second or two before moving, I just assumed it was waiting for the revs to drop enough? But when using it today I reversed into a position and turned the engine off. When I got back in a couple of minutes later and started it up, it wouldn't move in forward or reverse. I've tried moving the ignition key into different positions, stopping and starting the engine, revving it up, switching from F to R. but its not moving at all.
The engine revs don't change when selecting F or R.

I have checked all oils including the one in front of the battery with the red oil (which is showing slightly above the max line).

It feels more like an electrical problem, as the transmission was working fine (apart from the hesitation), no loss of power or funny noises. It just wouldn't move the next time I got in and started it.

Any ideas?
