Hi, my 3CX White Cab has a leak in the metal hydraulic pipe which is fixed to the slew motor. As you sit in the cab looking at the digging arm it is the left hand "can". I would like to weld it but am concerned that the piston seals may melt. Does anyone know which side to put the jib so that the piston is furthest away from the end? Or is there an easier way to do this, my concern is getting the piston back in if I take the cover off,
cheers derod

The best way is to take the leaking slew pot off to weld it up , just remember to top the gear oil back up when you put the cylinder back on.
