JCB 3D Transmission problem

Post #1 by dragonrider » Sat Oct 22, 2011 8:06 pm

Just had a JCB 3D build 5 with a torque converter, brought in, guy says he filled up transmission fluid with engine running and has blown the oil seals, how likely is that, does anybody know what he might be talking about, he says it is a common problem but i cannot find anyone who knows of this
Anyway it does not drive now.
I take it he means the seals in the torque converter. Gearbox No. is 12934/180/386 and torque Converter is 1762.
Regards
Terry

To get some answers from the experts you probably should indicate which type of transmission. Is it the later build 5 powertrain or the older style T/con with the small shift lever and non syncro gear box?
