All the Komatsu stuff 7 ton and under still seems to be based around the FAI technology Italian rubbish !!!
Was doing a bit on a PC27R the other week and it was a nightmare to operate!!

Northumberland
Pic if my former Komatsu, i repainted it too my first paint job not keen on the Komatsu yellow so i mixed some JCB yellow in with it
Interesting job this one, we attempted to recover parts from a rare Allison engined Mustang that crashed into a peat bog during WW2, we recovered prop, sighned pilot helmet, gun and many engine parts, the parts were in sutch good condition that the carburettor could have been resued with no corrosion at all, unfortunatly we could not get to the engine, too far down

Wow ! What an interesting job Adam,
Shame that it could not of all been recovered? I bet there are still many WW2 aircraft buried around the country that could be recovered?
Do you have any pics of your discoverys?

Re: CAT307B
ok so the throttle is adjusted correctly, does the engine die off when stalling a service example when holding the stick cylinder over relief, theres nothing silly like the hammer pedal stuck down, if all this is good, i recommend sticking a couple of guages on and checking main relief pressures, then maybe a pump flow test try and eliminate the simple things first.

No, only changes note a little which is why i thought the pump was turned down for hire work.

All fine, Komatsu used to often do this with the offset pedal, it was allways siezeing up and jamming half on.

Is this somthing i could do if i bought/borrowed some guages?
Can only find a couple of pics, the recovered parts are in the Sunderland air museum
Pilots helmet, still had his name in it.
The prop
The excavator was sat on bog mat's yet it was still singking and sliding towards the hole, if there is a nextime i will make sure one of the 130's are at home.
Re: CAT307B
Driven my neighbours old farm 307b, its standard spec Jap import, i'm pretty sure the pump pressures have been adjusted as you can stall the engine when digging (unless it has a fault )
Boy can it digg!!!!!!!
Make's mine feel very weak, still thinking of adjusting the pressures a little (not as much as my neighbours though)
Is it something i can do myself? (have access to pressure guages) Is it a big job?

Re: CAT307B
Hi there,I'm new to this site,
I have worked for cat for some years as a fitter.
Since leaving I have moved to a plant hire firm that runs a large fleet of cats.
I would be very sure that your main release valve needs stepped up.(all self drive hire machines are derated a little)

Hewden? Welcome to the forum
Have checked the pump pressures and they are just over 4000psi, Muckshifter say's it's what it should be
thanks
