Hi folks,
As it says above, I am on the look out for an empty 20' long 8' wide shipping container (approx. weight 2.2t). I assume an 8' wide container is too wide to be stable on a pair forks attached to a 4 in 1 loader?
Has anyone used their workhorse for moving empty containers?
Thanks,
Yozza

Hmmm I have a real fresh good order 3Dmk3 and it just about lifts one end of a 20 footer. However I have the dog of all dog mk2 3D's and it must be lifting over the 3 ton mark. I was told that the loader valve block on my mk2 has had a valve or some dam thing removed to enable these big lifts.

I have lifted one up enough for the lorry it was delivered on to drive out from under it. But its a big strain on the machine. 3 foot bucket on the back full of clay and extended out to the last to counterbalance it.... You get the idea !!

Brilliant, what an image.
Did you have to strap the container to the loader to stop it from toppling off the forks?
Thanks,
Y

I once unloaded a concrete silage effluent catch tank off the back of a lorry by filling the back bucket with soil reach it right out, position front forks under concrete tank, jack back legs right up,lift forks until in contact with tank, then slowly drop back of machine on the jacks.it picked load up enough for the lorry to drive out and put it on the floor pretty quick..Rich.

Great, this is turning into a 'what is the heaviest thing you've lifted with your digger' thread.
Keep em coming...
