Hi Everyone, just bought my first JCB, bought a smallholding and needed an all rounder .
been looking for a manual for it , operators / maintenance manual, most on the downloads section are either to old or to new ,
mines seems to be inbetween ?
Its not an extendadig , its 4x4 , and its a JCB 3CX - 4 ***** havent got the rest of the model number to hand .
Its on a "B" plate , so i'm assuming its a 1984/85 model ?
Any help in identifying the correct manual download would be appreciated ,
Cheers .

There isn't one on here for your model, but the orther down loads will help anyway.

Re: JCB 3CX - 4 ?
The hydraulic filler should be under the bonnet and the sight tube should be under it.
Re: JCB 3CX - 4 ?
Hi Phil,
on my first quick look around the machine, i lifted the bonnet, theres a big Hydraulic filter , bolted to what looks like the fuel tank,
this has a filler neck accessable when the bonnets down, its on the near side and its defo the diesel filler !
I never noticed the Hyd filler or the sight tube ?
I get home this coming weekend, i'll have a month to check the beast over then .
Cheers .

Re: JCB 3CX - 4 ?
It should be at the front of the engine the hydrauilc tank is in the front where the bonnet hinges,if it's not in the engine bay it's under a flap at the side.I can't remember when it moved if it's under the bonnet it's on the left hand side leaning back, Have you got plastic sides with thumb screws under the bonnet?
Re: JCB 3CX - 4 ?
Hi Phil,
my bonnet hinges over the top, front of the engine, then its thr cooling fan and radiator .
No plastic sides, infact no plastic at all, its metal .
As i said , i didnt have a lot of time to go over the machine before i left for work, i'm just remembering things i cant picture where they are.
i'm home this weekend and will have a good look at her, if i need anything, i'll post on here again.
Cheers Craig.
