The first 3CX was white cab and red wheels

Then the red buckets were replaced with yellow

Did the Leyland get replaced with the Perkins during the white cab? Did the uprated electric shift transmission conincide with the black cab/glass door?

Pete, a quick look seems to indicate Leylands built up to approx October 1981! Will have to look for serial number breaks and engine build info

I have produced a detailed timeline of all the JCB machines since the early 1950's, one day I will get around to posting it but in the meantime will attached the Backhoe Loader poster with all the backhoe loaders.

over the last few years I looked every where to download the user manual for a 3cx finaly I got one from this site. so cheers for the site. trouble is cant print it cos it has 700+ pages will cost me a fortune. nevertherless its great
I m hoping to purchase a second hand pro 8 and cant collect correct details for each model. I believe that pro 8 started in 1992 and lasted till 1997.
