Ok thanks I shall just have to dig around the tree stump with a narrow bucket what is the easiest way to swap buckets over as I've only ever used quickhitches
Thanks

Pre quick hitch days, we used to mod the bucket hangers by cutting the welds and reposition the hangers also alter bucket bushes to suit a machine if required.

Re: Do jcb buckets fit fermec
Hi Grant,
The easy way to fit a bucket without a quick-hitch.
First obtain a short bar 16 or 20 mm in diameter. Offer up the arm to the front bucket pin hole and pop the small bar through.
Lift the arm to a convenient height,( no need to bend). the bucket will hang and swing on the bar.
Set the crowd link somewhere near the rear bucket pin hole, you will now be able to swing the bucket and link quite easily to line them up and push or tap in the pin,( easier if their greased).
The bucket will then hang from the link, move the arm and link to line up the front holes, and withdraw the bar.
The bucket will swing on the back pin so you can easily line up and push in the front pin. Simples.
Good luck.
Fred

Hi Martyn,
Not only before quick hitch days, but we still alter the tops of buckets in the same way to fit quick hitches on different machines.
