Hey lads,
Heres one of the latest additions to the ABM plant hire vintage fleet. I say latest, it came back in Feb but we just finnished the repairs that needed doing to it. The machine will hopefully be going to Cromford steam rally in a few weeks in its original condition.

That looks a very tidy old machine. Are you now going to leave it as is? I feel it would be a shame to restore it further as there's no need.

Seeing it side by side with the modern 3cx shows just how right the original machine was, not much change in overall size or concept over the years.

That looks good Jason  well done .... are you going to fit a cab and dipper ram guard on the machine or has the cab perished beyond repair ?

Hi martyn
This machine will be fitted with a cab and boom cover eventually but they both need to be fabricated.
It's staying in its original condition for a year or so while abm plant hire work on another jcb project.

Is that original paint work? How has it survived in such good condition, was it hidden in a barn? Lovely piece of history.

Hi
Its completely original. the previous owner before my mate was clueless he did a few silly things with it, ripped the a frame off for one so we had that welded on and he messed with the hydraulics. That took some sorting ha ha. But the owner before that had it for 33 years when it was 12 years old and credit to him he did look after it.

I may be wrong but I would be inclined to keepit original, it must be virtually unique.
