I've been given differing advice on the best oils to use for the gearbox in my JCBs from EP90 API GL4, EP 80/85w90 API GL5, 85W140 and SAE 90 GLI with no additives (this one was advised by an oil manufacturer after reading the handbooks).
I am now completely confused....can anyone advise me which oil I should use?
I have been told to avoid API MTI (sulphur) which degrades yellow parts and gearboxes.
Also, which is type of grease should I use for the clutch greaser?
Thanks!
PS...this is unrelated but if anyone knows where the fusebox is on the 3Mk3, can you let me know - there's nothing in the dash.
Which oil / grease for JCB 3C3 (1978) and 3Mk3 (1971)?

Jon,we just put EP 90 in the box and lithium grease in the grease points.Never had a problem with that.Don't over grease though.
Fuse box, tried around the battery tray area.I always thought it was under the dash.My memory is getting worse
