Kingpost leak

I have oil leaking from the kingpost from a black plug that has been worn by a chafing pipe
its just above the slew pots on a 1989 3cx will replacing the plug cure it or is it more serious

Sounds like your drain plug for the Gear oil ??? do you have a photo ???

sounds like the filler plug , if it is making oil you may need some seals in the slew
