If it doesn't have a backhoe then its a 2CS. Ive never heard of a 2C. There was a 2B and 2D. Both had detachable backhoes. What age is your machine? any pictures?

Hi Adam, and a big welcome to CMN

I have to agree with William, there was never a JCB2C, well not that i know of ... could be a 2CS with a backhoe put on her at some stage ... do you have pictures of your machine ?

Hi, i have done a lot of research on the BHL's over the past year and created a comprehensive document of all the models and below is a summary of the JCB 2. I do have some pictures

JCB 2 (1964-1967)

• Smaller version of the JCB 3.
• Fordson 53.7hp or 55 hp BLMC engines, both three cylinder engines.
• Had a small cab and backhoe.
• The backhoe had an underslung actuator.
• The maximum dig depth was 10ft and it had a maximum load over height of 9ft 10in.
• In 1964 a three cylinder Nuffield skid unit was offered instead of the Fordson unit, due to Ford stopping their supply.
• A loader only version was developed, called the 2L; it had a counter weight and tow bar in place of the excavator arm.
• Weight 5030 kg

Thats a pretty well made cab. If you do decide to replace it with an original let me know and I could give you a price on that cab.
