Great pictures Steve!

Dump trailer axle is driven from tractor PTO too - can't make out what it says on the side of the trailer, but the French Brimont trailers used the same setup and often appeared in Renault publicity.

Interestingly, and may be member Steelfab can confirm, Fauchaux loaders were fabricated in the UK for a time, and I think it was in the Steelfab works in Cardiff.

They made a tractor backhoe with an articulating boom, which allowed it to dig in line with the outside of the rear tyres without the need for a side-shift.

DaveS

You are right with the connection between Steelfab and Faucheux Loaders. We used to buy these direct from Steelfab badged as Massey Ferguson 900 series. Not sure how much of the main loader boom was made in the UK but Steelfab used to make all the loader fitting brackets, buckets and extras. This all stopped when Massey changed to buying Quickie ALO loaders badged in red & Steelfab went out the game. Both were/are very good loaders.
