Vintage JCB's from Cromford Steam Rally!

Post #1 by Joes1989 » Sun Sep 20, 2009 9:36 pm

Hey Guys,

I took a trip to Cromford Steam rally today! Mainly because i wanted to see J C Balls & Sons vintage Display! He had some awesome machines there including the JCB MK1, JCB 1 and the Hydra digger! Hed also had his 60th anniversary 3CX a 4CX and 3 other 3CX Contractors of varying ages!

I have a few more but there still on my fone!

EDIT: The JCB 1 is the one that used to sit on the roof of The Excavator pub in Buckland Hollow around the corner from the Balls yard!

Good photos joe & good weather too .

Shame it had to been rescheduled as it clashed with other events, so I could not go this year.

Was there any other plant besides J.C. Balls machines, as last year there was a few other bits IIRC, with JCB having a stand.

No there was only really Ballys kit there this year! There was a Caterpillar D2 mixed in with the tractors but nothing else really! It was a T C HArrison stand last year and as theyve now moved to central dealers there wasnt one there as last year the event was organised by T C HARRISON JCB from somercotes!
