When I was at Tractor World Malvern in March, I had a display board on which I stated that as far as anyone knew there were only three of these machines remaining, as I was packing up I found a little note that someone had left on the Whitlock saying that he had one that was set up as a crane so there are four. Unfortunately there was no contact number. If anyone knows of this machine or one like it I would like to hear from you. Thanks.

Hi,

Can anyone tell me the difference between a Super Major-based Whitlock Dinkum 60 and a Dinkum 60A ? I think (guess) the 60A was an improved version of the 60. Was the 60A fitted with a red-painted cab and with a front (nose) counterweight? I think the attached pic shows a Dinkum 60A, but I don't really know. Any help/advice anyone could give would be really appreciated.

Cheers,

Andy

Odd looking Merton loader , basic Fordson Major tractor with cab moved forward, Whitlock bought out Merton for their 4wd loaders.

Yes Norman they were taken over by Hymac the Hymac backhoe loaders were basically Whitlock machines, Merton was also acquired.

Hi all, just picked up this Whitlock. Was told it is a 1960 Power Major. Can anyone tell me more about it? Back hoe and front loader versions?

As you can see, it needs a front loader bucket, so what type do I need?

My plan is to clean it up, a bit of TLC and servicing, then some work!

Thanks
