Ljungby loaders

Post #1 by Niklas Eriksson » Sun Sep 23, 2007 6:57 pm

Hi!

Ljungby maskin is a Swedish manufacturer of wheel loaders and compactors. Here is three pics of the 2nd largest Ljungby, the L25. It has an opperation weight of about 30 metric tons. I have also attached a pic of an older Ljungby loader, 1015.

Hi Nick!

Yes they do indeed! One of the "slogans" (or what to call it) the company haves is that they have to make good wheel loaders since they are a small company and they have alot of larger manufacturers to compete with. So every Ljungby loader needs to be strong and last long.

Not sure if this is true in reality though...

I think it was at the 1989 bauma that I saw these wheel loaders for the first time. Very strong, heavy machines built in a traditional design that certainly still has its place today as it did decades ago.

Have any scale models been produced of these machines?

All the best,

John

No sadly no models have been produced. To small company to want to make models.

Ljungby and Huddig (backhoe loaders) are two Swedish manufacturers many of us modelcollectors are wishing for models...

I've noticed they don't offer z-bar linkages but parallel ones only :dizzy:
