What is it?

Post #1 by Jeremy Rowland » Thu Oct 09, 2008 11:39 pm

Hi Folks,

Came across this a couple of weeks ago and I must confess I don't know what it is?
Looking at the "H" on the top of the front grill makes me wonder if its a Huddig?
I'm sure somebody on this site will be able to offer a positive identity IBH, Falkara?

I'd say its a Hydrema - but I'm only betting 50 quid this time ;)

Its a "Dreamer" the Army has a mountain of them, they often have rows of them parked at the Ashchurch Army depot.

Thanks Tony new some body here could do a positive id on it

The sticker in the cab shows it was supplied by Warwick Ward machinery, think like Leversley at Burton on Trent they get to flog off loads of old army kit.

The Huddig-logo looks different: http://www.huddig.se
Hydrema, hmmmmmm ... might be ... the linkage on the frontshowel looks familiar. But also the Hydrema-logo looks different.

Edit: just found som Hydremas with a similar logo:

Tee Hee
The place where I snapped the pic is a real junk yard I have no idea what they're business is :dizzy: because the place is full of old kit that just seams to sit there and rot away, you do see some interesting things there though hence the old Capri.

It's definetly a Hydrema - final answer :)

Does anybody have any pictures of the Hydrema Backhoe Loader that featured the cab that moved in conjunction with the backhoe slewing? It was a supurb idea and know that a major manufacturer of backhoes has one in development. I have a brochure of it somewhere under the thousands of leaflets but if anyone has picture or has seen one please let me know - cheers
