Hi all.
Had a couple of days tidying the floor and wheel arch on the 3cx. (off side)
The door is next. I've done the near side. (rubber carpets nightmare man)
. A few pics,one of them shows what was cut out.
I'll try to get these in order.

Hi all.
Just finished the repairs on the offside door (what was left of it. Some pics to follow hopefully. I also had to chop through hinges on the side windows to open them, but that's another episode.

Hi all.
A little info required if possible.
My JCB 3CX has a carriage that seems to be stuck in the middle of the rails. The operating lever was seized solid. I had to remove it from the machine to free it. Now that it's free it still doesn't work.Does the lever have to be pushed away from driver or pulled towards driver to free clamps?
Does the lever have to go back into the spool block a certain way. The clamps could be seized as I've never seen them operate.

Norm, if it is like the older 3C, then the lever is little more than an on off valve. I have not looked into it, but there must be a non return valve in the supply to the clamps. The line to the clamps is pressurised when other services are operated, particularly to dead end. The clamps may gradually lose pressure but should hold even when services are not operated. The valve to release must be after the non return valve, allowing oil to return to the tank. When you release the clamp valve you should see the carriage move away from the cross rail slightly. I guess you could try releasing and moving the boom and dipper right out. It is possible that if the clamps have not been released and the machine stood for a long while they may be stuck. I would also think, if you could free them without taking them apart, there is a fair chance the seals will fail. Our old 3Cs were always free and leaked off quite quickly if the services were not used. The machines often banged about fields loading straw so never had a chance to sieze.

It's a different set up to the old 3Cs.( It would be) It has some kind of linkage at the bottom of the operating lever that slides a thingy in the valve block.It can be attached in several positions, don't know if that makes a difference. I'm going to try cracking a hose to determine the pressure side of things. The carriage has not moved in a long long time, as it has previously been painted around it.
