The SAE control pattern for the backhoe is driving me insane on my 1988 machine. I run standard excavators for work for time to time and despite hours of trying and concentrating really hard I can't seem to transition to the JCB backhoe controls without making a huge mess
I can't find an online guide as to how to get the backhoe joysticks to mimic an ISO pattern. Is it as simple as swapping the dipper and boom hydraulic hoses from one joystick to the other, or are there check valves and/or different pipe thread sizes to deal with too?
How to convert JCB 3CX backhoe to ISO control pattern?

Re: How to convert JCB 3CX backhoe to ISO control pattern?
I remember struggling on the first ISO that I had hired to do a job. I had gone from 4 lever MF to JCB. Not sure how I would get on with JCB now. One of the experts will be along but I have a feeling that not all the spool slices are the same. The levers would still be on the diagonal, perhaps that will not be a problem.

I used to operate a cat 428 in early 90s and when i was asked to operate a 3cx i struggled a bit.
CAT were + pattern and jcb was x pattern.
Under the rubber gater on the 3cx there's a 13mm headed bolt. You can change it to + pattern

It would still have the boom and dipper the other way around?
